Funding for Plumbing Contractors
A drain call is paid the same afternoon. The rough-in you set on a builder job three weeks ago is paid once an inspector signs it off and the draw funds. Same trucks, same payroll, two very different clocks. Monera funds plumbing contractors so the slower clock never decides which work you can take.

THE CHALLENGE
Two Kinds of Work, Two Different Payment Clocks
Plumbing is essential work with steady demand, and it can still leave a fully booked shop short at the bank. What drains the account is sequence: the supply house, the crew, and the truck are all paid before the customer is. The Federal Reserve's 2025 Small Business Credit Survey put covering operating expenses at the top of the list of reasons firms went looking for financing, and more than half of the firms that applied did not receive all the funding they asked for. Four places the money sits still in a plumbing business.
Service work is paid today. Contract work is paid after the inspection.
A heater swap or a drain call is usually collected the day the van leaves. New construction and remodel work is not. You set the rough-in, you invoice the builder, and the builder's draw behind that invoice releases only once an inspector signs the milestone off, so your money waits on a schedule you do not control. Most shops run both kinds of work, which means one half of the book is quietly funding the other.
The supply house is on shorter terms than your customer
Fixtures, pipe, fittings, and heaters go on the truck before anyone has paid for them, and on a repipe or a sewer replacement that outlay runs into the thousands. Your supplier wants the money in weeks. The builder, the GC, or the property manager works on 30 to 90 day terms and keeps 5 to 10 percent of a larger contract as retainage until the job closes out (federal contracts cap that holdback at 10%). The distance between those two calendars is working capital your business has to supply.
Emergency demand is revenue you can only bill if you can staff it
Burst lines and failed heaters do not schedule themselves, and the shops that win that work are the ones with a truck free and a licensed plumber able to take the call after hours. Carrying that readiness costs real money in the weeks when nothing breaks, because payroll, fuel, insurance, and truck notes run flat while call volume does not.
A licensed plumber is the hardest line item to replace
The median plumber earned about $62,970 a year (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2024), and with the trade short on licensed plumbers, that seat is not one you refill on short notice. Letting a good plumber go to cover a soft six weeks is the most expensive way there is to save cash.
None of this is a profitability problem. It is a timing problem, and a bank answers timing problems on a 60 to 90 day SBA calendar. A supply-house bill and a Friday payroll do not move to accommodate that. We fund plumbing companies in days, against the revenue the trucks are already producing.
How Plumbing Contractors Use Our Funding
Fixtures, Pipe & Water Heaters
Load the truck and stock the shop for a repipe, a sewer replacement, or a run of heater swaps without waiting on the last job to clear.
Another Van on the Road
Buy and upfit the next van so a second crew can run calls, instead of stacking them behind the one truck you have.
Drain & Camera Equipment
Finance jetters, drum and sectional machines, sewer cameras, and locators, the gear that turns a diagnostic call into a billable repair.
Builder and GC Payments
Carry the rough-ins and commercial jobs that invoice now and collect after the inspection, the draw, and the retainage release.
Payroll Between Calls
Keep licensed plumbers on the clock through the weeks when nothing breaks, so the crew is intact when the next cold snap fills the board.
Taking On Bigger Contracts
Fund the mobilization on a larger commercial or multi-unit contract you would otherwise have to pass on for cash reasons.
One Application. We Match You to the Funding That Fits.
Most of the plumbing shops we fund take working capital and spend it wherever the week demands. There is no product to pick before you start. Send one application and we come back with what is actually available to you.
Working Capital
Unrestricted cash for a materials buy, a payroll week, a truck repair, or all three at once. Most plumbing shops start here.
Learn MoreBusiness Line of Credit
Draw what a job needs, repay when the customer or the builder pays, then draw again on the next one. You carry interest only on the balance you are using.
Learn MoreEquipment Financing
Trucks, jetters, and camera systems on terms as long as 60 months, secured by the machine itself, which usually clears approval more easily than an unsecured request.
Learn MoreInvoice Factoring
Turn a builder or property-management invoice into cash now instead of waiting out its 30 to 90 day terms and the retainage sitting behind it.
Learn MoreBusiness & SBA Loans
A single lump sum on a longer, structured payback, for a second location, a fleet purchase, or a shop build-out.
Learn MoreRevenue-Based Financing
Repayment sized to what you actually collect, so a quiet month costs you less than a fixed monthly note would.
Learn MoreWhy Plumbing Contractors Choose Us
Our funding has gone to trade businesses of every size, from a single licensed owner-operator to shops running a dozen trucks. What we read is how money actually moves through a plumbing business: what the supply house takes out this week, what the service board puts back in, and how long the contract side sits before it clears. That picture tells us more than a credit score does.

Plumbing Contractor Funding FAQs
What can I use the funding for?
There is no restriction on use. Plumbing contractors put it toward a materials buy, a water-heater or fixture order, another van, drain and camera equipment, payroll between calls, the wait on a builder payment, or a bigger contract. Apply once and we come back with the options you qualify for, rather than asking you to pick a product cold.
How much can a plumbing business borrow?
Most approvals land between $10,000 and $500,000. What sets your number is monthly revenue and time in business, far more than any single credit score.
Can I cover the materials on a repipe or sewer job before I get paid?
Yes, and it is the reason plumbers call us most often. The fixtures, pipe, fittings, and heaters on a large job run into the thousands, and the supply house works on much shorter terms than the customer does. Working capital lets you buy the job now and collect on the normal schedule.
Can I finance trucks, jetters, and camera equipment?
Yes. Equipment financing runs up to 60 months and the machine stands as its own collateral, which usually makes it an easier approval than unsecured funding. Vans, drum and sectional machines, jetters, sewer cameras, and locators all qualify.
Can it cover payroll through a slow stretch?
Yes. Being ready is what wins emergency work, and being ready costs money in the weeks when nothing breaks. Carrying a licensed plumber through a soft patch is almost always cheaper than losing them and trying to hire the seat back once the board fills up again.
How does funding work on new-construction and builder jobs that pay after inspection?
That is a normal file for us. Builder, GC, and property-management work commonly runs 30 to 90 day terms, the builder's draw behind it usually releases only once an inspector signs the milestone off, and 5 to 10 percent of the contract can sit as retainage until closeout. Working capital carries you across all of it, and where the invoices are clean, factoring can convert them to cash sooner.
Can I buy materials ahead of a price increase?
Yes. Stocking pipe, fittings, fixtures, and heaters before a busy stretch or an announced increase is a standard use of working capital, and buying in volume is usually where the better pricing sits.
Do you provide financing for my customers (homeowner financing)?
No. The money goes to your company, not to the homeowner. We do not run a consumer financing program and we are not a substitute for one. If you already give homeowners a payment option through a third party, this sits on the other side of the ledger and covers what your business has to front.
Do you fund HVAC, electrical, and other trades too?
Yes. Home service contractors of every kind, including HVAC, electrical, roofing, landscaping, and pest control. The home services page has the full list.
Will applying affect my credit score?
No. We check your options with a soft credit pull, which leaves your score untouched, and nothing about applying commits you to taking the money.
How fast can I get funded?
Approval usually comes back in 4 to 8 hours, and funding follows close behind. Set that against a bank or SBA file measured in weeks or months and you have the reason most contractors come here first.
Do I need good credit or a long track record?
All credit profiles are considered. The typical plumbing business we fund has at least 6 months of history and $10,000 or more in monthly revenue. How the business performs week to week counts for more than the number on a credit report.
